HOLA FAMILIA!
Well my Pats won!! Or so they told me. haha nobody here even knew what the superbowl is. But oh well. And thats
so awesome that food organization thing you did service for mom! Sounds like fun too! Right now im currently in a
tattoo parlor that has internet below and they have heavy rock music so thats interesting. And we just went bowling
with the zone and it was pretty fun! This week was pretty slow..but sometimes its like that! Supposedly Chile and
the USA played in soccer and we were winning and they all talked to me in the street and said it didnt matter
because it was just a friendly but when they won at the end, they all started bragging! Haha and in the US, you guys
probably didnt even know we played. This week we went painting with the other missionaries and painted a roof
for a lady in our ward. It was pretty fun! And the Relief Society had an activity where they made Humitas which are
like fake tamales with only corn and no meat or anything but they are still good! in summer we eat a ton of stuff with
corn and everyone always gives us watermelon! Its pretty cool. They always ask me what typical American food it
and they always say hamburgers and make jokes about us. I find it hard to respond because we eat every type of
food..and we basically live in mexico so thats what we eat! Haha.
We are helping a less active Sister come back. She was sealed to her family and everything in the Temple and had
callings but a lot of challenges came to her in her life. Her grandson died and her husband left her and a lot of other
things and she is scared to come back because she understands an important principal: when we are strong, we
have trials. But we shouldnt be scared of this. We should accept them because our Heavenly Father is going to
give us the challenges we need to go on and progress. We will only get stronger. I know it is like this. I know we
need the challenges to be better. I think it is DandC 136:42 or something that says challenges are to be able endure
the Glory of the Celestial Kingdom. Nephi and his family passed through many things in the wilderness before they
crossed the sea (and when they crossed the sea) to be able to populate a new land. We are the same. I am trying
to accept the trials that my Father in Heaven gives me. I love you all and hope you are doing well! Dont worry mom,
the gangsters love me here.
Love Elder Farnsworth
