HOLA FAMILIA!
Ok so the first week in Quilicura was...different, but awesome! It is the opposite than Cerro Navia and Galvarino.
First off we are on the other side of Cerro Renca (a hill) and second off it is really nice..like there are really big
houses with Audis and Jeeps and stuff. But theres also a little part to remember Cerro Navia thats called La
Pucara and its a little more dangerous :) haha but no its normal. And the area is really big. I sent a photo of the
highway we have to cross over the bridge like every day! ahhh its huge but we will see if we can get bikes. And
Elder Williams is awesome. He has one more transfer in the mission than I and we are trying everything we got to
find people in this sector to teach. They didnt leave us that much to work with and the people that are here, need
to get divorced from their last spouse and get married with their ``boyfriend or girlfriend´´. but that happens a
lot...its really expensive to get divorced...ugh. oh well. But there are a ton of foreigners here like people from Haiti
who speak creole and french and people from the middle east, and even africa i heard. But then there are a lot
more from colombia or peru or stuff like that. Its sweet. We live in apartments that are really nice looking! But
theres still crazy stuff and people haha. We were coming back to eat dinner and a old guy that lives above us like
screamed at me because he was deaf and asked me who i was. I tried to talk to him but i ended up yelling so
that he could hear me and then he asked me if i was a Yankee hahaha. We are gonna teach him next week. Itll
be interesting.
This week, Colo colo and the U de Chile played (two rival soccer teams) and everyone was watching it and
drunk..so that was interesting haha but nothing really happened. We had a really hard but really fun week!
We were dead every night from walking and being outside knocking so much (or basically yelling ``ALO´´´)
because thats how you call people from outside their gate idk. But there were some fun times! One day, in the
night, we went to less actives, but we didnt know what apartment they lived in. We went to the fourth floor and
my companion sees a painting of a unicorn and says, ``i need that...´´ so we knocked the closest door to it and
asked if they were going to throw it away. They said yes, so we asked for it and put it in our house hahahahah
so theres the selfie with Tiffany the unicorn. I dont know...but the latinos really think it is beautiful and normal
and everything. So we are just laughing about it. An elder from Peru in our ward Elder Huarca asked if unicorns
were real....oh.
The ward here is really sweet! And i told dad but an apostle is coming to Santiago in April and he will speak with
the mission and our stake here!! only our stake!! So its gonna be sooo awesome. We dont know who it is yet but
still. So ill keep ya updated with who it is. Love you guys! hope all is well!

and this was in the letter to his Dad:
And something awesome, another apostle is coming but we dont know who! and he will meet with all the missionaries
AND he is going to our stake Quilicura where i am now!! two times to see him! Gonna be awesome. Well we are
opening this sector which just means the other two missionaries left and we came in. i think it is called
whitewashing a sector in the states i dont know. but it was pretty hard this week but soo fun. Its a really big sector
and we need bikes..and the people are pretty rich too so some of them are too proud to receive us. The ward is
legit like a ward in the states and there are like 180 people in the ward that normally go. we have the church in the
stake center! Its a great sector. there are a lot of accountants here and my comp and i both want to study
accounting and both of are fathers are accountants ahah! pretty funny.
